No barrier to stand behind but lot of people passing by and stopping at the roundabout, small area for them to stop but if they want to they will―Anonymous

Quite a good spot to leave Nantes towards Angers. Used it multiple times, never waited much. There is actually 3 place, my favorite is just after the roundabout because plenty of space for cars to stop but you can follow the road until under the bridge there is also room for cars to stop. I'm local so always ask family to drop me here!―Adrien44

If you stand the other side from the traffic light, it is safe and you can even sit on the fence... :)Get there from tram 1 - Haluchères and then bus 85 - méditerranée or 77 - Adrienne Bolland and walk a few minutes. Otherwise walk from halucheres but it's a bit long.

Hitchhiked there onceLots of cars but it felt way to dangerous. Found a ride pretty easily but litteraly feared for my life when I had to cross the road. I guess it's OK if you're used to hitchhike on big roads like theese but if you feel safer on more tranquil places, just go on the next roundabount. It has way less traffic but you will still find a ride

Force me its the best place to go south. Cars don't really have place to stop but there is a lot of trafic and a lot of people are going for a long distance. Plus it's really accessible with thé busway―Rosie

Not son much trafic but cars have place to stop. I got lucky, I got a ride in 5 minuts but it may take more tome than thatWay safer than thé Armor roundabount

got picked up fairly quickly going to Angers. This ride only took us approx a third of the way there. It's a road taken by a lot of people living in-between Nantes & Angers so expect a few rides maybe to go the whole way.

It was very easy to ask people around and to find a ride in direction of Bordeaux or even further south. No gas station though, so fewer people stop here, but there were still many people at lunch time.―WhinniePuuh

Not the best spot because cars from Nantes wont stop so early after leaving the city but it worked anyway (saturday at 10 on easter weekend)―Victor

Towards Angers, stood there for one hour at 12h. Continuous flow of cars ! Beware that this spot is likely to be a place for trucks to park―birdy
